Summer Sno

You know summer has officially started when the "Summer Sno" snow cone shack opens. We visit this place at least once every other day, if not more often. We even crave these snow cones all year long.
We were lucky enough to go to the snow cone shack on opening night with my sisters Mer and Lin and sister in law Stacy and we went the next day with Mer, my mom, Amy, Jared and Lydia.

Case and I eating our snow cones (our favorite flavors are lemon lime and watermelon)
Even Lydia (my niece) loves snow cones
Mer loves Pina Colada

I think I learned to love lemon lime from my mom, lemon lime is her favorite flavor too.

I think Lydia loves any and every flavor
Now that summer has officially started we have no school, hot weather, vacations, snow cones, and spending time with family to look forward to.

Our First Anniversary

Case surprised me by taking me to Midway to spend the night at a bed and breakfast called Johnson Mill for our one year anniversary.
We stayed in a room called Mill Pond. When you look out the windows you have a beautiful view of the small pond that surrounds Johnson Mill.
The place had 15 acres of beautiful grounds. Case and I decided to take a walk around Johnson Mill. We took lots of pictures (with the new camera Case gave me for our anniversary) of the many waterfalls we found.

Since Johnson Mill is surrounded by a small pond, they have a paddle boat and canoes you can take out on the pond. Case and I thought it would be fun to take the paddle boat out for a short ride. The paddle boat was extremely hard to steer and after being on the lake for about a half hour we found we were just moving around in circles and were only about 10 feet away from the dock.
I can't believe that Case and I have been married for a whole year. This year has gone by so fast, but I look forward to many more years to come.

To My Mom

  • You have always been there for me
  • You always listen to what I have to say
  • You go to Costco with me so I never have to go alone
  • You call me just to make sure I'm doing okay
  • You still make me lunch even though I'm married and out of the house
  • You have a strong testimony and you are such a good example to me

I want to become just like you someday

Happy Mother's Day!!
I Love you Mom
